Zinnias

Everyone loves zinnias . They're so happy,bright and colorful.

The flower can be a single or double flower, from small thumbalina flower forms- to larger 5" wide giant flower heads.

These bright sturdy flowers are really easy to start indoors ,about 6 weeks before the last spring frost.

Check the size before you buy - height can range from 6-30 inches.

Yellow, orange,apricot,rose,creamy white,red, pink, lavender

Uses

  • Great as a garden border

  • Looks beautiful combined with Dusty Miller, Purple Basil, or Cockscomb

  • Use in full sun gardens and areas.

  • Use as filler to your perrenial garden

    Care

    They like well drained soil. Mulching will keep the roots moist.But too much water on the leaves can cause disease.

    Don't over-fertilize.Too much will create more leaves and less flowers!

    New varieties are mildew resistant.

    Deadhead the flowers during the blooming period so that your plant will get bushy and produce more blooms.
