Japanese Garden Pictures
Use these Japanese Garden Pictures to inspire your own backyard Asian styled oasis. I could spend a whole day just relaxing and reading in a quiet
Japanese Garden
retreat. Wouldn't it be nice to have your own meditation room where you could go and unwind, forget about the stresses of the office? Notice that the gardens have a peaceful quality , in part because of the limited color palette , and the natural placement of the rocks and plants.

In the picture above, the stone boulders are placed to act as a path over the water. It connects on the other side to a gravel path that continues on thru the Japanese Garden. The stones are placed naturally, as if nature designed it.

Water and stone are very important in Japanese Garden design. Notice how the sky is reflected in the stream? So peaceful.

The evergreen trees are pruned to give this sculptural effect. It looks natural , but takes many hours of pruning and years of growing to get the
trees
to this stage.

The gravel path is lined with turned bamboo strips in an overlapping pattern. The bamboo and stone ornament create an Asian feel among the evergreens and plants . These are easy ideas to incorporate into any
backyard garden.
