Growing flowers can be an unpredictable task can't it? How many times have you planted something with anticipation and excitement - only to have it wilt and die the next week?

Flowers can be easy going and low maintenance, or fickle and moody. Plants are all different; just like friends and family.

You should experiment with different annual and perennial flowers. See what works and what doesn't.

Look at gardening as a constant experiment;try different flowers, color combinations, and placement every year.

If something doesn't grow in one spot, I move it to see if it will grow in another.If it still doesn't grow- then I move on to another kind of plant!

There will always be some flowers that refuse to play nice of course, but there are things that the everyday gardener can do to grow the best flowers possible.
