Container Gardens- The thing that I love about a container garden, is that you can experiment and change the look of your patio or deck from one year to the next, just by changing up the garden planters and flowers . These potted gardens are versatile, portable, and low maintenance. Check out some of these ideas and flower color combinations for your gardens.
Opportunity to take garden pictures is right out your back door. Grab a camera and head out to your gardens . Get up close to the tightly wrapped buds and snap away . Its a great way to capture the garden progress - place the photos in a garden journal with the date taken. The pictures will help you design and plan for next years garden.
Southern Gardens-These garden pictures are from our trip to the cities of Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. Southern gardens are some of my my favorite places. Take a look and you'll see why I think that are beautiful and classic.
We explored the public gardens of Savannah and peeked through the fancy gates of private homes , or over the walled border gardens in Charleston. We spent a whole day at Middleton Plantation and captured great pictures there too. Enjoy!
Japanese Garden - Sitting quietly in a Japanese Garden is the best de-stressor that I can think of. I like the naturalness of the garden design that carries a sense of peace and calmness. It is very reassuring and grounding. I have found a few unique garden path ideas from Japanese garden design.
Annual Flower Photos - coming soon
Arizona Garden Girls Trip - If you want to see spectacular plantings, gorgeus sunsets and beautiful moutains, then spend some time at the Camel Back Inn in Scottsdale . FAB!! The lighting in AZ seemed magical. I like the contrasts of the wispy plants against the rock gardens and stone hardscapes.
Butterfly Garden -Butterflies are so beautiful to watch ,and are fun to capture on film . They can be tricky though..... because the slightest wind will push them along with little time to focus the camera. Read this article for more tips on photographing butterflies .
Clara's Garden-This midwest gardener has carved a little piece of paradise in the backyard of her Minnesota home with native plants, easy to grow annual flowers and perennials. She has created one of a kind container gardens using up-cycled and found objects. Look for the magical characters scattered throughout this whimsical backyard garden.
