Begonia

Begonias are great, and a favorite in all sorts of gardens because of the durability and low maintenance.

Add them to your shade gardens and they'll flourish; but you can also put them in full/partial sun if the soil stays moist.

This shade plant (will take some sun) is a prime candidate to be enjoyed year round if you take it indoors during the winter months.

You can bring the whole plant inside, or take a cutting and plant it in an indoor container. Keep in a sunny window and enjoy all winter long!

Color

Can be found with white, red, rose, or pink flowers. The leaves are gorgous and waxy in green,or a bronze color.

Blooming Period

Blooms from summer to frost

Where to Use

  • as an edging plant

  • en masse in your

    flower garden

  • wonderful in hanging baskets

  • tucked in with hosta for a burst of color in the shade

    Care

These flowers don't really need regular deadheading. The small flowers dry out on the plant and new flowers will grow around them.

They like moist soil, prefer shade, but will grow in a variety of light conditions.

    They are hardy and reliable!
